HA! Next time the destructible environment comes back online can someone give me a buzz? There are a few bases with their names engraved on my missiles. Plus I need a target to try out my coalition torpedoes .

And since all my posts have some sort of question about the game. Here's another that could spare me a runaround with the bullpup: Since the bullpup has 400cargo can I store 4 coalition torpedoes?

Well, when you graduate from the SA Training Academy Aleksei, we have a special wing that specializes in engaging and destroying heavy enemy assets, namely capships and bases! More info will be given to you when you graduate.

As for the Bullpup MKIII, yes, one torpedo requires 100 units of cargo. It will make a dandy Cap Ship Killer class VHF as well, considering the amount of weaponry that ship can bring to bear on a target. You just need some CODENAME MKII guns to go with it!

Yeah, like the Diamondbacks! Now there's some pain ready to be dished out! Oh how I love to see the Alien cap ships go up in smoke.

I have seen many veteran players wearing codenames. In vanilla codenames were dropped by wrecks but I think i've even seen a few npcs with those guns. After a few days of trying to shoot wrecks and getting nowhere I gave up.

If I can shoot some npcs to get them, what are the best areas to get some good guns?

Hmm... In vanilla diamondbacks had great damage, but poor fire rate. Did they get any better? I want to make my next ship a cap-ship killer, can't decide where to go all missile or a gun-missle combo. I was thinking a bullpup mk3 with coalition torpedoes and 6 Nemesis missile launchers. Any suggestions?

In vanilla, the codename weaps were outdone by the nomad weaps. The diamondback MKIIs do the highest hull damage in the game. You're right, they have crappy fire rate and short range, but this makes them ideal for attacking large targets, and nothing else. That's why I use them.

2Aleksei: If you can use 2x3 different missiles. If you put all 6 nemesis you will be out of ammo really shortly.

Hm .. never figured the bullpup would survive long enough to deplete the missile supply. It's hard to maneuver (compared to a fighter) and once those flak turrets start firing I doubt it will last long.
I remember dying once with the Armored Transport (in the good ol' days when it had a class 10 shield) in about 5 seconds from the crossfire above (you guessed it) Planet Crossfire. I hate that CSF capital ship Olympus.

According to Lt.Vox report showed Aleksei very good theoretical knowledge and also some combat skills (with Bulpup MK3 it had to be hard ).

p.s.: I have some nice screenshots and comments from this trial from Lt. Vox report. I will create detailed report about this trial soon (Tuesday).

This is the story behind the callsign:
"Well it was my one-on-one combat training mission. When I found my instructor at my tail I rapidly fired as many flares as we were allowed to show off. My instructor some how got in a wrong place so he had to face the back fire. Then at debrief he held me responsable for "firing backwards" at him rather than to fire when he was in front, it got a ludicrous sitcom as my backfire seemed to be quite accurate. My Squad-mates labeled me a 'back fire' shooter and it became a funny tactic."

I usually try any trick I can think of to surprise my opponents so the callsign and story sounded like a perfect match .

P.S. Do I get assigned to a wing or do I have to request one?

About the wing i'll need to make ajustments soon to accomodate all the incoming new personnel... Until then you're simply assigned to the SAOC !

Subject: Trial result from Recruit Aleksei Akhmanova (callsign: Backfire)

Greetings Captain Forlon,

Tonight (on the 24th of October) I have supervised the trial for ensign promotion
to Aleksei Akhmanova.
We met in system Arena and the trial quickly started with no incident.


Recruit Aleksei showed me a good skill in fast docking asking him to dock to planet ring



Followed the question part to ensure recruit Aleksei had the requested base knowledge
about the game and Silver Arrows clan. This went very well, with no mistake. I took on
more advanced questions but I was unable to have him fail! I was very impressed!



We ended this trial with a PvP test... Unfortunately Recruit Aleksei was flying a
Bullpup MkIII for convenient purpose so I was not too rough on him.
He knows the basics well (strafing,etc...) but is not very efficient yet and will need
more movement practice, but he managed to hit my hull
I have also checked his aiming skills on a moving target (err... me!) and I found his aiming correct.
With a proper more advanced training, I am sure he will become a good pilot for the Silver Arrows.







I will conclude this report with a very positive position. Recruit Aleksei Akhmanova understands English very well and I did not have any problem communicating with him, and even though he hasn't posted a lot on the forum, I do see him online quite often. His knowledge of the game is good and he knows SA guidelines and RP.

Trial conclusion: Success

I have told Recruit Aleksei Akhmanova he would receive news from you Captain to signify him officially his promotion to ensign (or not, regarding the final position). As his pending time period is already over, it would be nice for him to have an answer as soon as you (or Admiral Thomas) can.

Note: I haven't authorized him yet to create SA character - not before official approval statement
