Jump successful, the jump hole is stable behind us. We entered an uncharted system. We are surrounded by flat asteroids debris
and purple creatures floating all around us. Lieutnant Foreman is running short range scans before we go further.

Comm. channel recording...
Lt. Foreman : Scans cannot penetrate this purple pockets, Sir.
Cpt. Thomas : Increase scanner range.
Lt. Foreman : Still nothing. It seems like if the matter absorbs the scanner's waves.
Cpt. Thomas : But our scanners can even penetrate planets cores ! What could absorb the scan ?
Lt. Foreman : I will try to increase the range again.
Cpt. Thomas : Whoa ! Those purple things ran away ! These things are alive ! What are they ?
[Alarm beeping]
Cpt. Thomas : Report lieutnant !
Lt. Foreman : Unknown ships approaching, 3 o'clock !
Cpt. Thomas : Jump hole collapsing ! Thrusters to maximum, we have to engage. Enter formation beta 2.
[Thrusters rumbling]
Lt. Foreman : These are DK ships ! We took a wrong turn by coming here !
Cpt. Thomas : Shut up and open fire. Missiles salve !
Lt. Foreman : Firing missiles.
[Rockets launching]
[Weapons firing]
Cpt. Thomas : Turn left Foreman so I can have a clear shot at this one !
[Ship exploding]
Lt. Foreman : There is one behind you !
Cpt. Thomas : Hull breach, escaping !

I tracted the captain escape pod and managed to escape the DK with evasive manoeuvers. I'm on the way to Base Alpha.
I hope the captain is unharmed.

The medical staff at the base cannot treat the captain's injuries and radiation damage with their limited equipment.
I must bring him to the SAC on Manhattan where doctors can heal him.

Base Alpha : Base alpha to Lieutnant Foreman, be advised, DK ships are showing on sensors.
Lt. Foreman : Understood.

Lt. Foreman : What's that alpha ?
Base Alpha : More DK ships enclosing, there is a whole fleet !
Lt. Foreman : Do you need me to help defend the base ?
Base Alpha : Negative, interceptors are lauching behind you, just keep clear from those DK ships and carry on your mission.
Lt. Foreman : Good luck, i will bring the captain back as soon as he recovers.

I have reached Planet Manhattan. The Captain is in the LSF Medical Facility and the doctors have started treating him.
Unfortunately, there has been no contact with the base since i arrived here. I have to meet with Order Colonel Jun'ko Zane at
Fort Bush. I have been told she has some info about the DK fleet that attacked the base.

I met with Colonel Zane. She said the base has been destroyed and evacuation brought back only half of our memebrs. I've nothing left to do but return to SAC (Silver Arrows Command) for new assignement.

SAC reassigned me to another base, in Frankfurt. They told me someone else would take care of Captain Thomas when he get
his release from the Medical Facility. I also have been promoted to Lieutnant-Commander for my rescue of
Captain Thomas and for my loyal services.

Captain Thomas - Log 4336
I'm released from medical at last. Since I lost my previous ship, i've been given one of these new Corsairs Deimos Fighter. I will start over with new ship and new assignement : recruit new members to explore and fight our foe : the DK.

... Wow. Very intriging. I like the logs effect. and not just the first person view of commenting. And I also like this perticular piece because it tells us more about the past of SA.
