Not Enough Firepower=Dead Pirates
I was docked on Planet Crossifre and chatting with Bandit and Chinook on skype. I have been getting cocky and was not even concerned about the X system or who was in it. Thinking I could dispatch all who stood in my way. I was wrong to think this. I was contacted by LC_Pirate-Soul to pay a fine. I shurgged this off and checked the system. Aurel and Soul seemed the immediate threat. I figured I could undock and try my hand at 2v1 against two veterans. The plan was to focus Soul, because he can't fly, and then try my best at Aurel. I knew I would die and excepted this fate. Chummed it up to practice.
I was completly wrong with any plans and they where immediately out the window. I did not pay attention to chat and Soul had boundtied me. I undocked into pure chaos. I was instantly fighting Soul, Aurel, DP_Bat, and Test.Pilot. This was amazing for the for the 10 seconds that it lasted. I managed to take Soul's shields down before death. That felt good and made me wonder just what I can achieve.
I decided to bounty Soul. Aurel had switched his license from Pirate to Merc to get in on the bounty that was not collected when I died the first time. It was a suiced by missle. As soon as I bountied Soul he said, Oops. This made me laugh because I knew there was three mercs out there trying to kill him. I instantly undocked and jumped on Aurel. He was the nearest opponent and a mistake. I should of targeted Bat. He is easy to kill but shoots well if allowed to fight unchecked. Soul and I both died. Bat collecting Soul's bounty and Aurel collecting mine. I bountied Aurel this time and undocked aiming for Soul....the Mercs did not attack Aurel and all jumped on me then on Aurel.
I thought this would be the end of the Mercs but I was wrong. Soul hired Bat and Aurel to kill me for 1 hour. Test.Pilot went afk to smoke. I was not going to undock into the madness again. I informed them that this day belonged to them but to not be caught alone. It was a great experience and I learned a little about bounties.....and about the true nature of Mercs. Clan DP is a back stabbing group. I helped Bat when he had trouble with a pirate but I guess he struck a deal with them and now clan DP belongs to the pirates. Not to mention the pirate Jollier appeared in X and was happy to lend a hand to his pirate brethren.
Now lets straighten this out. We have Soul, Aurel, Jollier, and Bat against me at this point. I was ready to log (so I could put on some pants and grab a bite ) when all the sudden Admiral Forlon logged on. ( I put on pants ) Now the tides have turned. 2v4 sounds pretty fair to me. Not to mention as soon as Forlon switched to a closer ship, Soul, announced "Forlon is coming". I couldn't help but feel some pride in the open fear they expressed with just one other Police on board to fight them. Forlon arrived in a fighter and we went at it. After our first round with them, The Admiral, informed me he was going to switch to a "different" type of ship. My grin widened. It was now time for all out war.
Forlon arrived in his Battleship and told me to wait until he could dock. The bad thing was that Forlon had to set his weapons groups after each fight and on the undock...which gave the pirates a slight advantage...lets face it 4v2 is just not enough. It was an epic battle fight after fight, round after round. We managed to keep the kill/death to 1:1 and sometimes I feel we did better. Forlon went on a Rampage (five kills before death) and it was rare that I would undock and not get at least one kill. The Pirates did not stay dumb for very long and soon began to form a strategy. They would focus one Pirate on "bumping" the Admiral while two constantly focused on killing it. One Pirate would stay on my tale.
This was a good strategy and I was worried for a bit. Forlon called out an order to Bankrupt Jollier. This was now my only goal. I killed him everytime I undocked and Admiral Forlon killed him 3:1. I hired the Merc Test.Pilot and now it was on (who I did not pay nor discuss any payment with....whoops) Need to check on this. The tides where in our favor for most of the fights. Test.Pilot and Forlon were amazing. All I had to was take down shields and either Forlon or Test.Pilot would wipe them out. If a missle hit the target they where surely dead. Intense and fun. Jollier eventually went backrupt and was given credits to rejoin the fight but was to late in his return. Forlon had to take a short intermission for nourishment and Test.pilot began to duel Bat. This was the end of the battles. Soul logged out and Aurel tucked his tail also.
Forlon and I moved to Omega 3 for more training. This regular training has improved my abilites greatly and I look forward to them. As Police we must defend space againts these types of pilots. It is a simple and noble cause. I spend much time hunting them now and look forward to even a glimmer of a Pirate in a ship. Battleship or fighter it does not matter they will pay or die. Reguardless of numbers.

Re: Not Enough Firepower=Dead Pirates
You have become this scary monster. I could use you as an escort some time when I'm hauling something that cost me a lot of credits and goes through a dangerous sys.A scary monster type is just what I need I won't tell anyone you're still a puppy dog.

Re: Not Enough Firepower=Dead Pirates
It was nice action ... we need only next time hire mercs sooner (means like some of unemployed mercs which have nothing to do ). |DP| are fair mercenaries, when you hire them, you can count on them ... and this is how things should be

Re: Not Enough Firepower=Dead Pirates
Thank you, Bandit. The "Jedi-Master" goes to you. I am just a humble servant of Law and Order. Raining down pain in a fashion so feirce that Pirates will no longer fight 1v1...even 2v1.....Just imagine how far they will run when three of us are in a wing.
